Una misteriosa isola compare e scompare su Titano, la luna principale di Saturno.
Costituita da metano ed etano, sorprende sempre per la sua imponenza e per le sue continue evoluzioni. A quanto pare, grazie alla sonda Cassini è stato possibile individuare, all'interno della Ligeia Mare, una porzione che cambia forma, rispetto ad altre riprese precedentemente acquisite.
In realtà, gli scenziati pensano che non sia una vera e propria isola ma un fenomeno strettamente legato al liquido che compone il Mare.
La certezza ancora non affiora ma si pensa ad un cambiamento dovuto a probabile risalita di gas dal fondo oppure una sorta di bolla o di iceberg.
Il fenomeno sembra, comunque, destinato a scomparire!
Solo le prossime osservazioni potranno definitivamente chiarire il dilemma e capire se si tratta di un cambiamento temporaneo o definitivo.

A mysterious island appears and disappears on Titan, the main moon of Saturn.
Consists of methane and ethane, Titan is always surprising for its grandeur and its continuous evolution. Apparently, thanks to the Cassini spacecraft has been possible to identify, within the Ligeia Mare, a portion that changed shape compared to other locations previously acquired.
In fact, scientists think it is not a true island but a phenomenon closely related to the fluid that makes up the Sea.
The certainty emerges not yet but it is thought likely to change due to rising gas from the bottom or some sort of bubble or icebergs.
The phenomenon seems, however, destined to disappear!
Only further observations will be able to definitively clarify the dilemma and figure out if it is a temporary or permanent change.
